Therapeutic Support For Tyler

The key aim with this student was to build resilience and independence skills. It was clear he needed support in building his self esteem so that he was more confident in his ability to learn. This would enable the team to reintegrate him into his main stream classroom successfully.

Tyler resisted engagement in learning within the school setting due to confidence concerns. It became apparent that his anger gremlins stemmed from a deep anxiety.

Following a short period of working with one of our team on a custom-made supportive programme, Tyler appeared calmer and interacted positively with staff and students in the classroom.

Tyler was soon able to use self-regulation tools to manage his feelings and engaged in conversations with adults when he needed support.
