#Hello Yellow – World Mental Health Day 2024
On October 10th, 2024, Oak Activities enthusiastically participated in the #HelloYellow Campaign in honour of World Mental Health Day! 💛 Our team donned vibrant yellow outfits, and our amazing young people set up a loom band shop and organised a cake sale!
At Oak Activities, raising awareness about mental health and well-being is a top priority, and we are dedicated to advocating for this important cause within our community. Together, we can make a positive impact! 💪✨ #MentalHealthMatters #OakActivities #WorldMentalHealthDay
MacMillan Coffee Morning 2024
We came together to enjoy delicious coffee and sweet treats, to support and raise awareness for this amazing charity. Every cup and every bite helped support those facing cancer.

#Hello Yellow Campaign for World Mental Health Day 2023
On October 10th, 2023, Oak Activities participated in the #Hello Yellow Campaign in support of World Mental Health Day. All staff donned yellow attire and integrated discussions about mental health into their sessions. Staff and students wrote messages on yellow post-it notes, sharing their reasons for joining the campaign. These mature discussions were warmly welcomed and valued by all participants. Promoting mental health awareness and well-being is a top priority for Oak Activities, and we embraced this opportunity to advocate for it within our wider community.
Children In Need Day 2023
On November 17th, 2023, Oak Activities supported Children In Need Day by wearing yellow t-shirts adorned with spots. This event aimed to raise awareness and support the incredible work done by Children In Need for young people in need. Many of our students have personal connections to the work of Children In Need, making this event particularly meaningful for our team.
Remembrance Day 2023
On Remembrance Day, November 11th, 2023, Oak Activities staff came together to create a commemorative wreath representing our organization. Students contributed by tracing their hands, decorating them uniquely, and adding words, names, and phrases to honour those we remember on this special day. This collaborative effort allowed us to share stories and discuss the conditions and impact of war. Our inspired wreath was proudly displayed at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Edith Weston, Oakham.
